Engine
The 2023 Jeep Gladiator has two engine options: a 3.6L V6 engine and a 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engine. The 3.6L V6 engine produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, while the 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engine produces 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. Both engine options are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, but a manual transmission is available which offers a low 1st gear perfect for off-roading

Off-Roading
The Jeep Gladiator has plenty of features that help it handle challenging terrain. These features include:
Forward-Facing Off-Road TrailCam: This camera provides a view of the trail directly in front of the vehicle, helping the driver pick their path.
Steel bumpers: The bumpers are made of ultrastrong steel to withstand the punishment of off-road driving. The front bumper can also accept a winch.
Skid plates: All models have up to four skid plates to protect the underbody from damage. Rubicon and Mojave models also have heavy-gauge, steel rock rails for rocker panel protection.
Tow hooks: Every model has two tow hooks up front and one in back. Rubicon and Mojave models have two tow hooks in front and two in the back.
Select-Speed® Control: This feature manages vehicle speeds of 0.6 mph to 5 mph in 4-LO while traversing off-road terrain, so the driver doesn't have to control the throttle or brake. This helps the driver focus on steering the vehicle, letting the Jeep Gladiator put the right amount of power or braking onto the ground.
Hill Start Assist (HSA): This feature works to prevent the Gladiator from rolling back when starting on an uphill gradient.
Off-Road Pages: These pages show real-time data like suspension travel, tilt and pitch, wheel turn, and transmission temperature. This information can help the driver optimize performance.
Tru-Lok® Differentials: Deliver maximum torque to both wheels, maintaining forward momentum. An instrument panel-mounted rocker switch can lock either the rear (on Mojave models) or both (on Rubicon® models) axles. Paired with the Rock-Trac® 4x4 system on Rubicon models, the rear axle can also be locked in 4-HI.
Off-Road+: This feature automatically interprets the type of terrain the Jeep Gladiator is operating on and adjusts certain systems, including throttle, Selec-Speed® Control, traction control, and transmission shift mode, for optimal performance.
Front Sway Bar Disconnect System: This system allows the driver to disconnect the front sway bar in 4-LO and 4-HI, allowing the front suspension to travel up to an additional 30 percent. It reconnects automatically at speeds above 18 mph. Standard only on Rubicon.
